“For the past few years, I have been trying to represent an offset world by mixing and fusing animal and human features to bring about a special mood in my paintings. In my most recent collection, these imaginary beings are telling the viewer a tale. I don't know whether they are happy or sad. Maybe it is weird, comical or unusual. They are just living in a parallel world watching us with a strange expression or trying to deliver us a message. My paintings become an outline by which viewers can imagine and interpret their own essential emotions free from realistic representation.” |
