Arash
Bahrami’s
Animalcules
The
remains
of
pieces
of
cloth
from
outcast
canvases,
are
small
animals
who
belong
to a
smaller
place
called
“home”.
These
pieces
of
colorful
cloth,
are
witnesses
from
my
previous
works,
that
had
remained
in
between
frames,
boxes
and
messes
scattered
around
the
“room”.
These
pieces
of
cloth,
have
gradually
transformed
into
animal
gures
and
taken
shapes
on
the
canvas
to
represent
the
zodiac
signs
of
my
recent
years:
Rooster,
Horse,
Cow,
Giraffe,
Rhinoceros,
Sheep,
Whale….
The
lines
on
the
left
palm
of
everyone’s
hand,
reveal
an
animal
gure.
Before
this,
I
was
concerned
with
parts
and
organs
of
the
human
body,
these
days
I am
focusing
on
their
astrology
and
zodiac
signs.
