Jalal Shabahangi was born in 1935 in Tehran. He graduated with an MA from the San Jose State University in California. He joined the University of Tehran’s Faculty of Fine Art upon his return and taught various courses in visual arts for thirty years. He has also been professionally engaged in glasswork throughout his artistic life. Jalal Shabahangi has had a significant role in the Iranian art scene and held many shows in Iran and abroad.
